Meet Simoné
Finds the friction. Fixes it.
I'm Simoné Wright, a Chartered Accountant with Big 4 pedigree and a practical, hands-on attitude. I've led finance projects for middle market, private equity backed, and multinational groups, and now help New Zealand leadership teams keep things moving.
I'm at my best where problems cross functional boundaries. Understanding how a business works, finding the friction between people, processes and systems, and working out what can be simplified, fixed or improved. Then getting on with it.
My background spans finance, technology, operations and business transformation, working alongside leadership teams from the Boardroom through to the people responsible for making things work day to day.
I started my career in audit with EY and PwC in Auckland, Hamilton and Sydney, progressing to Audit Manager before moving into regional finance leadership across six Asia-Pacific reporting units.
Following a private equity acquisition, I moved into global finance transformation, leading initiatives including the group's first global consolidated financial statements, IFRS adoption and consolidated audit.
Since 2023, I've worked independently through Simplx, helping businesses deliver finance, systems and operational improvements. I'm as comfortable presenting to a Board as I am getting into the detail with the team, bringing people together and turning priorities into practical outcomes.
